Peter Andre has revealed that he plans to move to Australia with his family.
The Queensland-raised singer, who has lived in the UK since the 1990s, said he plans to move back to the Gold Coast “as long as possible” to care for his ailing mother, Thea, who is 86. to care.
Andre, 49, who is currently starring as ‘Teen Angel’ in a London theater production of Fat, will move his family down from December, he wrote in a column for New magazine.
“If everything goes according to plan, it will be December and we will all go to Oz as a family,” Andre wrote.
‘We want to get out as soon as possible and stay as long as possible, but that is difficult with the children’s school.’
“They have different timings, which makes it complicated.”
The Mysterious girl singer shares Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, with ex-wife and former British glamor model Katie Price, and Amelia, 8, and Theo, 5, with his current wife of seven, Emily MacDonagh.
Andre, who visited his parents, including father Savvas, 88, earlier this year when international borders opened, provided insight into his beloved mother’s health concerns in an OR! magazine column published last week.
“My parents celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary last week. 67 years! It’s quite amazing. Dad will be 90 next year and Mom will be 86,” he wrote.
“But Mom is having a hard time right now. She’s not doing great. She suffers a little and deteriorates.
“I was with her a few months ago. We just need to be with her as much as possible. It’s just age. She’s got a lot going on right now.”
Andre was originally born in London, before his family moved to Sydney in 1979 when he was just six years old.
When Andre was nine, they settled on the Gold Coast.
By the time he was in his late teens, Andre set his sights on the UK after his big break on the Australian talent show new faces, that landed him a record deal.
In London he recorded his debut single Make me crazy, and his breakthrough hit, Give me a little sign which peaked at number 3 on the Australian singles charts.
He gained further fame when he married Price, whom he met on the UK version I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! in 2004.
They went on to launch their own reality show, Katie & Peterbefore divorcing in 2009.
