A meteorologist tries to clear the air as to why he was fired from his job… and says it all has to do with what he did on a webcam site that is extremely NSFW.
Two-time Emmy nominee Erick Adame took to Instagram Monday to address his recent termination… and said he wants to share his truth, “rather than let others dictate the story of my life.”
He says he appeared secretly on an adult webcam website while still employed by Spectrum News NY1… and stated that his “compulsive behavior, while at home, was performing on camera in front of other men.”
Erick claims the interactions were “100% consensual”…noting that he didn’t make any money for the things he did in front of the camera.
He apologizes to his employers at Spectrum, who eventually found out about his actions… as well as to his audience, family, friends and colleagues for the embarrassment he caused.
However, he makes it clear: “I make no apologies for being openly gay or sex positive.”
He continues… ‘My psychiatrist calls my actions ‘compulsive behavior’, others would call them reckless, stupid or brutal. I am not in a position to argue with any of these descriptions.’
He gives one last message to potential future employers… and says, “Please rate me on the hundreds, thousands of hours of television I am so proud of… me in our click-bait culture.”
