Lil Baby says his body “stopped” from tour exhaustion — forcing him to skip a gig in Vancouver — but new video shows in which he felt good enough for the Vegas nightclub scene.
TMZ Hip Hop got this footage from inside Zouk Nightclub where Canelo lvarez celebrated his victory on Gennady Golovkin. It’s a fully lit scene and Lil Baby was in the middle of the action…along with Travis Scott, DJ drama and other celebrities.
This particular scene was around 3am on Sunday, and as you can see Baby was still singing and feeling good. NBD, except for the fact that less than 24 hours later he was the headliner of Vancouver’s Breakout Festival… a show that did NOT go through, as they say.
Explaining his no-show on IG, Baby said, “I’ve been working so hard for the past few months with no breaks that it finally caught up with me.” Now it’s true that he recently completed a major tour with Chris Brown … but this video makes it seem like there are other contributing factors.
Interestingly you can see Baby was rapping with 42 Dew‘s fresh from their “We Paid” collab. The Vancouver fans who paid for tickets on Sunday night were beyond pissed that he never made it to the podium.
As we reported, the crowd got ugly when they got the news and what went into full riot mode … destroying tents, TV monitors and all kinds of property.
Seven people were reportedly arrested amid thousands of dollars worth of damage and destruction.
We were told that Baby’s security was trying to prevent people from recording him when he left Zouk with a towel over his head. He may need some cover for his next trip to Vancouver.
We’ve contacted his team…no message back so far.
